We have some terrific news on this Thursday evening!!! Brooke (formerly Verona at San Antonio ACS) has found her forever family!

And that includes a 14 year old brother who is the same breed!

Brooke is so lucky and her parents absolutely adore her.

Brooke, you scored a home run ⚾️ with your new family and your life is going to be AMAZING! We love you, sweet girl. 💕

❗️❗️Will anyone, OUTSIDE OF TEXAS FOSTER her for 8 weeks if we pull her? Anything shorter than that will not provide us enough time to find her a home.

SHE HAS ABOUT AN HOUR TIL EUTHANASIA. 12:30 pm CST is euthanasia.

Hi, friends! Our buddies at Home Run Hounds Animal Rescue, Inc. are in need of fosters! They are based in Long Island and have fosters around the country.

They have a few dogs that are in desperate need of a foster home. A foster home is simply a home where the dog can stay, all expenses paid, until they find the perfect forever home for the dog.

HRH has two small 6 month old black lab mixed pups who are dog friendly, and a beautiful australian cattle dog who is also dog friendly.

The dogs are always neutered/spayed and vaccinated before going to their foster homes.

If you are interested in fostering any of their dogs please apply at homerunhounds.org

*Please, for the sake of saving time that they need to spend caring for all of the dogs in the rescue, please only serious applicants. Must be ready to accept the dog into their home within one month. Must be able to foster the dog for a minimum of four weeks (unless they are adopted before then!) ❤️🙏🏼

Just please explain how anyone can stand by and watch while the 6 month old standing up (Bubbles) is euthanized tomorrow after her mother AND siblings were saved and pulled from the shelter.

This is torture. And this is Texas.

Home Run Hounds has some deserving dogs who need foster homes in the northeast.🙏🏼 They need to be transported out of Texas and start a new life where they can find forever homes.

Fostering means the dog lives in your home, all expenses paid, until we find them a forever home.

🩵Theodore, small black dog with tan legs and white chest is 7 months old and 17 Lbs. Friendly with dogs and people. Hes vaccinated and neutered.

🩵Simon is the small black dog with the red collar. He is 7 months old and 16 Lbs. Friendly with dogs and people. Hes vaccinated and neutered

🩵Tyler is the beautiful Australian Cattle Dog. He is between 1 and 2 years old. Neutered, vaccinated. Friendly with dogs and people.

If you can allow one of these precious souls to stay in your home temporarily, you have no idea the blessing you'll be giving them.

Benny, who is around 6 years old, is up for adoption and looking for his furever!

Benny is around 35 Lbs. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Benny loves to run around the yard and throw himself on the grass so he can roll around! Then, he shakes it off and trots away to say hi to his doggie friend William or go and lie on the porch and relax.

Benny could be the perfect addition to so many different types of homes. He would be happy with a single person that would take him on a couple nice strolls each day and hang out with him on the couch.

He would also be happy to be part of a family who would take him out to their yard for a play sesh and some good laughs at this funny boy!

Benny is potty trained. He is at that perfect age where high energy is not a thing. He can have some fun, then chill out.

He is in Texas now but we don't want him to necessarily stay there. Once he finds an adopter, we will transport him to his new person/family. Please don't forget we adopt out of state!

Have to show you all this truly amazing progress, which we were told would never happen.

Home Run Hounds' friend and foster Becky opened her heart to a dog from ACS San Antonio. The shelter deemed her "likely paralyzed". But we took her off the euthanasia list anyway.

A private vet outside the shelter also told us after an exam that we'd likely be putting her down soon because of the nature of her injuries sustained from falling three stories.

We chose not to believe that. And so Becky has been learning how to help, and work with Sugar for over a month. Sugar could NOT STAND UP or even lie down putting weight on her front legs. She was down and out.

But persistence pays off and little by little, progress proves success. Becky you're one in a million!
