Winter months are a time of rest and time to reset. Shipping live animals is always stressful for me as I worry about each individual package that I ship out. I am a one woman show, and raise most of everything that I offer to my customers as I do not import to resale.

Now that the colder months are here, I can relax a little. Of course there’s still regular maintenance to attend to, but for now, I can just enjoy my fish. Repopulate my tanks & do routine parasite treatments for everyone (which is about every 3-6 months). So when spring rolls around, I’m ready to get back at it.

I may offer daphnia & moina this coming year as another live food source 🤨. They reproduce quickly and give your fish the excitement of the chase 😄. Maintenance for culturing them is relatively easy too! It’s always best to feed live if possible or frozen as most dry foods have empty fillers, which your fish have difficulty digesting. This causes them to bloat. Certain species have certain food requirements. So that’s definitely something to keep in mind and research if you’re ever in the market for a new type of fish 🙂.

All scuds are counted individually with a medicine syringe. This ensures you get the quantity advertised + some extras, so there’s 0 guess work on how many there are. Will be various sizes in each order.

UPS does NOT ship packages to PO Boxes. If you put in an order with a PO Box, your order will be cancelled. There’s no work around unless I have a physical address that UPS will deliver to. I no longer use USPS as I’ve had DOA’s after more than 7 days in transit. That amount of time in transit is unacceptable with live fish.
