West Tennessee Strawberry Festival The very first festivals were designed as a way to market our community and all of West Tennessee in a challenging economy. What’s missing? You are!

75,000 friends and neighbors, 9 blocks, 30 events that are sure to entertain the entire family, come celebrate and experience the food, fun, and entertainment that West Tennessee has to offer! The West Tennessee Strawberry Festival is a 83 - year tradition in Humboldt, an opportunity for a classic West Tennessee homecoming as people travel from across the country to enjoy the events, the food and

the fellowship of family and friends. Organizers went to state officials for support and came up with a celebration that included bringing the town and the surrounding community together. Along with instruction for growing and marketing the strawberry, those who attend are entertained, and contests and events are planned simply for enjoyment and fellowship. Pageants, music, the horse show, fireworks, the recipe contest, the carnival, parades with floats and bands, the 5K & 10K runs, festival cuisine and more are all a part of the attraction. Now is the time to contact the Festival leadership or the Humboldt Chamber to determine how you may “plug in” to all the activities of Festival planning, a year-round process, and then the presentation, always the first full week of May. There truly is a place for everyone!
