For a small donation to a cause selected by the staff, everyone gets to trade their scrubs for a T-shirt for the day.

This week, our donations are going to✨ Hudson’s Crew ✨, which is raising funds for a splash pad in Pocahontas in memory of sweet boy named Hudson.

We’ve had a few recent conversations about Theileria in cattle, so we wanted to share a quick update for our producers.

Theileriosis is a tick-borne disease that can cause anemia, weakness, weight loss, and decreased production. In the U.S., we’re most concerned about the Ikeda strain of Theileria orientalis, which has been showing up more in surrounding regions.

What to watch for:
• Pale eyes or gums
• Lethargy or cattle falling behind
• Decreased appetite or weight loss
• Drop in milk production

There’s no simple “one-shot fix,” so prevention and early recognition are key. Tick control plays a big role, especially with the spread of the Asian longhorned tick.

If you’re noticing these signs or just have concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re happy to talk through cases and help with testing or management options.
