Prairie Slough Retreivers Kennel I (Vern Oostra) have always desired a Labrador Retriever for a hunting partner ever since I got into waterfowling.

After Storm turned a year old, I knew that i needed help with training since he was my first dog. After a couple months of training, I was introduced to HRC Hunt Tests. These hunt tests have opened my eyes to what these dogs are capable of and how we can work together to be great teams. Because of this I my goal for Prairie Slough Retrievers is achieving champion gundogs that are enjoyable both in the field and in the house.
