While we love the spooky season, many Halloween favorites can be tricks rather than treats for your pets! Here’s what to watch out for:

🍫 Chocolate – Even small amounts can cause vomiting, tremors, and heart problems. Dark chocolate is especially dangerous.

🍭 Sugar-Free Candy (Xylitol) – Found in gum and sugar-free treats. Even a tiny amount can cause a life-threatening drop in blood sugar in dogs.

🍇 Raisins & Grapes – Hidden in “healthy” treats; can lead to kidney failure.

🕯️ Candles & Decorations – Curious paws can knock over lit candles or chew on wires, leading to burns or electrocution.

👗 Costume Caution – Make sure costumes don’t restrict movement, breathing, or vision. Avoid small pieces that can be swallowed.

🚪 Trick-or-Treaters – The doorbell and costumes can stress pets out. Keep them in a quiet room or use calming aids if needed.

💀 Glow Sticks – Non-toxic but cause drooling and discomfort if chewed.
