Bledsoe Mobile Vet has an exciting update!
I've accepted an appointment by President Trump to serve as Agricultural Policy Advisor to the Department of Homeland Security. I’ll still be based here in Eastern Colorado, but I’ll be traveling more often, especially to Washington DC.

To make sure our clients continue receiving reliable, uninterrupted care, Dr. Hannah Klein will be joining the practice and taking on most appointments. Hannah brings over 14 years of large animal experience and is a great fit for the high standard we hold ourselves to. I plan to return to full practice once this term is complete.

We’re excited to welcome Hannah, and I’m grateful for your continued support through this new chapter in our practice.

🚨Equine Herpes Disease Outbreak In Colorado🚨This resource from Equine Disease Communication Center will be regularly updated as the situation progresses. Please make sure your horses have been vaccinated for EHV-1 within the last 6mo, avoid attending events/shows with horses with unknown vaccine status or health status. EHV is spread through aerosol droplets and symptoms include:

Respiratory Form
• Fever (often 102–106°F)
• Nasal discharge (serous → mucoid)
• Cough
• Lethargy
• Decreased appetite

Neurologic Form

• Hind-end weakness or ataxia (wobbliness)
• Dog-sitting stance
• Difficulty rising or recumbency
• Urine dribbling or inability to urinate
• Tail tone loss
• Incoordination

The Equine Disease Communication Center is monitoring an outbreak of EHM that originated at the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) World Finals and Elite Barrel Race event Nov 5-9. To date, officially confirmed cases have been reported in the following states-
