Although I am quite behind in getting this post up, that does not diminish how I feel about it… I am still bursting with pride!
One of the most rewarding parts of being a trainer is watching all of your client’s hard work come to life and especially on a big stage!
I have had the privilege to coach Izzi from the short stirrup up to the 3’3 junior hunters.
I will never forget when she called me from vacation in the summer of 2024 to tell me she wanted to be at Junior Hunter finals the following summer! I said OK here’s the plan and we set out to see what we could do…
Izzi spent many hours at the barn riding and preparing and sticking to the plan we set out upon together. Her hard work and tireless effort paid off piece by piece, she got better and better and qualified both of her horses!
There are no real words to describe the feeling of seeing a rider go in and perform to plan on such a big national stage and with a smile on her face!
It was a joyful and proud moment for Blue Fox to watch Izzi Dobby and Cadbury at Junior Hunter Finals! Her driven mindset, focus, and hard work shined through!
Congratulations Izzi! “We GET to do this!”
