A little over two weeks with Peter Barker the Destroyer of Chaos (aka “Chaos” aka “Weenie” aka “Dragon Slayer”)!

So far he is loving:

🥾Long hikes in the woods.
🥰Snuggling.
🎾Playing ball.
💩Finding and rolling in stinky stuff (probably his favorite 😂).

Happy Anniversary Red Sky Dog Training Family! 🌅🐾

I thought for a bit about what to post for this milestone, what not better subject than my first dogs. The dogs who I have to thank for all this! The ones who really jump started my crazy love for dogs and taught me soooo many life lessons.

This photo was taken in September, 2019.

We have Bentley, the dog who I got when I was 12, who taught me what real patience was and that not every dog is a “dog’s dog”. He was my first love.

Franklin, the unexpected addition. He taught me about the importance of ethical breeding and general dog ownership. He taught me how deep our love for our dogs can be.

And then, Ajax. My heart and soul. The dog who introduced me to dog sports, my protector and best friend through my biggest life events. He taught me about loyalty, hard work, and resilience.

I am forever grateful to them and wish they could be here to see this milestone 🤍

When this was taken, that younger me could never have imagined the adventure I would be on that would eventually lead me to Red Sky Dog Training.

Thank you to all of you, who have trusted and continue to trust me to take care of your cherished companions. Two years absolutely flew by!

Onida Mae goes to Downtown Holland 🌷🐾

As we are getting to the end of her board and train program, we have been seeking out more busy places to prepare her for the “real world”.

With summertime being here, we encounter bikes, other dogs, off leash dogs, large groups of people, and we all know that Michigan summer means construction season which can present some interesting and loud environments.

These are all things that we just can’t replicate in a training room!

✨Onida Mae✨

This stunning girl started her Board and Train Program with us this week and we are so happy to have her!

Our main focuses will be on loose leash walking, recall, and sorting through some bad reactions to dogs while on leash and in the yard.

This six year old girl is incredibly smart and we are having so much fun already!
