December 19th, 2025 marked a very special day for us here at Red Barn Rabbitry! Our very special Phat Bottom Girl gave birth to 6 beautiful little babies. This has many emotions of excitement for the future & bittersweet as her show career finally comes to an end. We cant wait to see what will come of this special crossing with one of our fellow breeders buck. Keep an eye out for these kits updates as they grow and join our show strings!

We took advantage of the 50° weather in December & did a barn cleaning! Its not perfect but the rabbits sure are happy to have clean powersprayed cages and fresh air today! A HUGE thank you to my Husband, Tyler, for helping me get everything done! Being 7 months pregnant really restricted my abilities to clean and he helped a ton. Now to continue kindling, waiting anxiously for our baby to make her appearance and the babies to grow into show prospects!

Breeding & baby season is in full swing for us! Lots of breeders wont breed over winter months, however, we are fortunate enough to have a heated facility for our mama's and kits. After realizing I haven't had many babies since spring, I went a little breeding crazy! From 11/28-1/15 we have 13 mamas due 🙃 so.. sorting kits in Feb-March will be madness.. and oh, wait, I forgot to mention (for those who dont know) im due with my own baby girl Feb 23rd. So a newborn of my own ontop of all the kits.. yep, I may be insane 🤪🐰

Good luck to all my rabbit friends today! Not sure the exact number of entries. But last time I looked, it was over 4000 between the 2 shows! Should be a great show just days after convention 🙂🐰

October 25th we attended the Komoka Show in Canada! It was a BLAST! I personally had never been to Canada so the drive up through customs and navigating the speedlimit in KM was interesting but we had some great placing & will definitely be going back! Thanks Maria Boisclair for inviting us up!
