HUBERT... WE NEED YOUR HELP.
The proposed Starling Cove subdivision has now reached its final stage before the Onslow County Board of Commissioners.
The property is located at the intersection of Bear Creek Road and Queens Creek Road in Hubert. The applicant is requesting a Conditional Rezoning from RA (Residential Agricultural) to CZ R-10 in order to construct a residential subdivision.
The Onslow County Planning Board has already reviewed the proposal and unanimously recommended denial.
The final decision now rests with the Board of Commissioners.

This meeting is where the public has the greatest opportunity to be heard.
Hubert United is asking everyone who is concerned about the future of our community to attend the meeting wearing a plain white shirt. The goal isn't to protest or create conflict. The goal is to show the Commissioners that Hubert is paying attention, is informed, and expects responsible planning.
As we've said from the beginning, Hubert United is not opposed to development.
People need homes.
Businesses deserve opportunities to invest.
Growth is coming whether we like it or not.
Our concern has always been that infrastructure keeps pace with that growth.
Traffic along the Bear Creek Road and Queens Creek Road corridor.
School capacity.
Emergency services.
Water and sewer infrastructure.
Stormwater management.
Road safety.
These are the questions that deserve clear answers before additional development is approved.

We have spent months gathering public records, traffic studies, engineering reports, school enrollment data, NCDOT documents, and county planning information. We are happy to help you organize factual talking points so your comments are based on evidence rather than emotion.
Please remember that everyone attending this meeting, including the developer, county staff, commissioners, and residents, deserves respect. Productive conversations happen when we remain calm, courteous, and focused on the facts.
