🐾 Meet Dr. Dan Meakin -Lifelong Animal Advocate 🐾
Dr. Dan’s love for animals started early—by age 9 he was raising reptiles, ferrets, rabbits, and more. A Mt. Lookout native and former junior zoologist at the Cincinnati Zoo, he’s been immersed in animal care his whole life.

After studying biology at Notre Dame and graduating from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Dan completed a surgical internship in California before returning home to start All Creatures in 1992. Today, with 30+ years of leadership and 5 children later, he serves as an important part of our team at CVSWC

We’re so lucky to have his experience and heart leading our team. 💙

Meet Mizz Izzy!

Izzy is a 5 1/2 year old English Bulldog who is seeking her forever home.

We gotta day, there is a LOT to love about Izzy... and we aren't just talking about her 64 pounds of awesomeness!

This girl is house trained, good with dogs, loves being loved, and actually THRIVES on structure.

🐾Never fear, SUPER WINSTON is here!

Winston is seriously the goofiest pup and is a self proclaimed "hero of housework". He promises to save you from the those daily chores with his charm.

Okay, honestly, he isn't really "saving you" from them but he may prevent you from getting them done 🤪. Not only is he the sweetest distraction but he also hates to see you sweeping the floor and will let you know it- he would prefer you to be snuggling!

Truth be told... WINSTON is the one who needs a hero, and maybe that hero is you!

Winston does resemble a superhero and always appears to be flying. His elbows don't work like they are supposed to which leaves his legs pointing straight out. Although we say he is "special", this guy doesn't know any differentlu and can zoom around like any other happy and healthy dog can!

You won't regret bringing this silly "special" boy into your life and you may love the extra time added back into your day by skipping the household "honey do" list!

Okay, it may just be "Marty" but we definitely feel that he brings the party to any occasion.

This 2 year old bully is a certified snuggler and has puppy play for days.

You can just tell by his grin that he is definitely always up to something! Right now, that "something" is looking for his forever family.

How would you caption this photo to get Lady Fallon adopted?

This sweet 4 year old English bulldog came to us as a stray who needed us more than we ever could have imagined.

Lady Fallon had a bladder stone so large that it made our vet's monthly newsletter (shout out to Cincinnati Veterinary Surgical and Wellness Center )! Thankfully our vet caught this during her "bulldog makeover" (spay/immunizations/exam/nares & palate correction) and now she is on her way to better health!

Now, Fallon spends her foster days being an avid scavenger of snacks, a beautiful couch potato, and a beloved side kick.

She hasn't had any apps... not even on her birthday.

If you know of anyone who may be her special person.. send them her info. She will appreciate it because she is waiting to start her forever!

It’s been a tough week around the rescue and we could use a good laugh- the kind that makes you cry.

This sweet girl isn’t even two years old but came into rescue with a horrible uterine infection and some patchy skin problems. Now, she is shining like the diamond that she is and looking for her forever home.
