Puppies-puppies-puppies.
Today’s class was about working a small heel, leave it, unusual surfaces to build confidence and finished class with unusual sounds and items. Clanking buckets, popping umbrellas, sounds toys, all activities help build confidence in our pups if introduced properly with patience.

Welcome back to class Katherine and Blaze.
After a long illness with glaucoma a difficulty decision was made to have Blazes eyes removed when the pain became too much. After a lengthy recovery they are now back in class and Blaze is hot on the trail of that odor pool again, and she sure is happy

Are you ready to enhance your handling skills?

The Leash Handling skills workshop on Saturday, August 30th, is just what you need. With two classes and 10 open spots per workshop, this class is designed for handlers only. We will cover practical skills such as distance, mimicking a handler, working in close quarters, long vs short leash, dividing search areas, switching hands, types of leashes, and more.

After this workshop, you'll feel more prepared and confident in handling. Please bring your leash
This 1-hour workshop is $45, or $35 for students of PL2P.

Where did July go?!?!?!?
The day is quickly upon us for the opening day to register for the Pets Love 2 Play's Farm Dog Trial on Sunday, October 5th in Hubbard, Oregon.
We are also collaborating with the PNW Scent Work club to host an AKC Temperament Test on Saturday, October 4th.

Rosettes will be offered to all dogs that pass either test.
In true PL2P style, we will also have a lovely photo background to take pictures with your ribbons and rosettes.
We look forward to hosting this event in cool fall weather and welcome you to stop by the farm stand and pick up some apples, pears, or a pumpkin!!!

Puppy class was so much fun tonight. Everybody had a poopie bag and signed the AKC Puppy pledge. After a little focus work we moved on to “unusual surfaces” including wobble boards, teeter-totter, balance balls, trampoline and more. Then we pushed on to “leave it” extercises and started on heel.
The class is in full shade and out on the lawn area next to the barn. Next week we work on unusual sounds and sound devices.

Thank to all the Pets Love 2 Play students that came out and volunteered at the PNW Scent Work trial this past weekend. Super proud to watch you all contributing to the sport of scent work and taking advantage of a wonderul learning opportunity while having fun with your pup!!

Classes will take place at their regular time this week.

We have two ongoing openings for Saturdays Excellent-Master class 10-11 and Wednesdays Advanced class 12:40-1:40.
