We, at Dassy’s Newfies, would like to let folks know that we are still in business. We have taken a break from dogs for various reasons. One of the most important being, Dassy being on the mend following a fall resulting in a moderate head injury.
We would like to thank all the good people that have helped us through this situation. The folks with a kind word, friendly smile, or just a wave. It has been nice to know that Midwestern Values are not extinct.
Special thanks to Dr. Bekavac, for treating Dassy and trying to prevent the head issue from becoming more serious. Also, my sister Annette and my brother Steve, without their financial support we would probably be out of the business. The nice ladies at First United Methodist Church, for wonderfully delicious meals following the fall. The great folks at the local food pantry, without them we would have gotten a trifle hungry. Nancy and Joe S for their words of encouragement.
On another note, I would like to thank the two nice young gentlemen who stopped to help a stranger out with his lawnmower problem. If any of our friends from Quasqueton would happen to know the two firemen who assisted me, please ask them to contact me here.
We have unfortunately had to say goodbye to some of our wonderful dogs, Goliath the service dog (Bubba, G’s nephew, is training to step into his role). Charles Richard, son of Sailor, curtesy of Watchbear Newfoundlands. Gracie Lulu, founder of our Lanseer line. And last but not least, Silver Belle, our last Charlie and Gracie daughter.
We will continue to post information about upcoming litters here, it might be a bit, but it will happen.
