🐾 Looking for His Forever Home! 🐾

This sweet boy is still searching for a family to call his own. ❤️ Unfortunately, we have not been able to locate his previous owners, so he is now looking for his forever home.

He is a terrier mix, estimated to be about 1–2 years old, and is an intact male. He does well with other dogs and appears to be house trained. He is a friendly young guy who would love the chance to become part of a family!

If you are interested in meeting him or learning more, please give us a call at 785-675-3378.

Please share to help us find this sweet boy the loving home he deserves! 🏡🐶❤️

Wishing Our Summer Interns the Best! 🎓🐾

As summer comes to an end, we’re saying goodbye to our wonderful Nex-Gen summer interns—Gabbi Meyer, Conner Dinkel, and Taydem Mitzner—as they head back to school!

Throughout the summer, they gained hands-on experience, assisted our team, and learned more about the many aspects of veterinary medicine and animal care. We’re grateful for their hard work, enthusiasm, and positive attitudes at the clinic.

Gabbi, Conner, and Taydem, thank you for spending your summer with us! We wish you all the best in the upcoming school year and can’t wait to see where your futures take you! 🐾📚✨

It can happen in minutes, even in your own backyard.

⚠️Early signs - ACT FAST: Heavy panting that won’t stop, thick drool, bright red gums, restless pacing, seeking shade, excessive thirst.

‼️Emergency - CALL US IMMEDIATELY: Vomiting, staggering or collapse, glazed eyes, pale gums, tremors or seizures.

What to do: Move to shade/AC, offer cool water if alert, cool belly/paws/groin with lukewarm water (no ice), and call us while transporting.

🐍 Rattlesnake Season is Here – Be Careful Out There! 🐍

As temperatures warm up across western Kansas, rattlesnakes are on the move. Whether you're checking cattle, riding horses, working around the farm, or taking your dog for a walk, now is a good time to be extra aware of your surroundings.

Here are a few simple ways to help protect your pets and livestock:
🐾 Keep dogs on a leash when exploring unfamiliar areas.
🌾 Avoid tall grass, brush piles, rock outcroppings, and old buildings where snakes like to hide.
👢 Watch where you step and where you place your hands while working outside.
🏡 Keep your yard and around barns clean to discourage rodents, which can attract snakes.

If your pet is bitten by a rattlesnake, you may notice:
• Sudden swelling, especially around the face or legs
• Pain or crying out
• Weakness or difficulty standing
• Bleeding from the bite
• Trouble breathing in more serious cases

⏰ Time matters. If you think your pet has been bitten by a rattlesnake, contact us as soon as possible. The sooner treatment begins, the better the chances for a successful recovery.

Snakes play an important role in our ecosystem and usually want nothing to do with people or animals. The best thing you can do is give them plenty of space and let them move along safely.

Stay safe this summer, and if you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to give us a call—we're here to help! ❤️🐾

🎉 It’s finally complete! 🎉

You may have seen the fence posts going up in front of the clinic over the past few weeks—and we’re so excited to share that the project is done!

🐄❤️ Happy Cow Appreciation Day! ❤️🐄
We’re not udderly obsessed with cows… okay, maybe we are! 🐮 Today we’re celebrating the hardworking cows that help feed our communities and keep our farms thriving. We're proud to care for these amazing animals and support the people who care for them every day.

We all also love a good laugh !

If you have a cow that doesn’t produce milk, is it a milk dud… or an udder failure?
