Meet Ashe, the ultimate couch potato! He won over his fur-ever paw-rents with his shy and affectionate vibes at PetSmart when they originally wanted to meet chihuahua Pantera (who already had a wonderful new family; we featured his happy tails yesterday), and they were like, 'Sorry, Pantera, you're cute and all, but Ashe stole our hearts!' Fast forward, and this little dude was adopted and living his best life. At first, he was all like, 'Uh, what's going on here?' But then he discovered Bluey on TV, and it was love at first bark! Now, he's living his best life, and his paw-rents even tracked down his potential baby mama from the shelter where they were together before Polka Dogz (thankfully, he's now neutered, phew!) and arranged a puppy playdate. Ashe denied everything. Perhaps Maury Povich needs to be summoned for a paw-rental DNA test?

Hey! I’m back. I know I missed a couple of days. Blame my foster mom. She had a trip and couldn’t get it all done. But here I am. Day 27 of my 30 day challenge. If you thought I couldn’t go to the beach with my wheelchair, think again. Look at me chasing the waves, birds and whatever else comes along. My friend Melanie took us to her beach house; it was fun. She had two other big dogs there and we all got along just fine. I’m waiting for my family who will take me places and have fun with me. Is it you? I only have a few days left so I’m really hoping this will happen. Please help me. ~ Coyote.

Double the trouble, double the fun! Congrats to Meme (in mom's arms) and Pantera (dad is holding him in the picture), the ultimate BFFs who scored a fur-ever home together! These two partners in crime convinced their paw-rents to adopt them both, and now they're living their best lives - recliner-stealing, toy-hoarding, and snuggle-bug-ing their way to happiness! Meme still has her beloved pink bone, because priorities!

Paws-itively thrilled to announce that Jack (formerly Jack Frost) has found his fur-ever home with his awesome paw-rents! The icing on the pup-cake? They're amazing volunteers who fostered him and realized, 'Hey, we're already stuck on this guy!'

It’s Day 26. Very few days left for me in this 30 day challenge. I was hopeful but now it looks like I’m back to square one. No one wants to love me or take a chance on me. Am I that damaged? Do I not deserve to be loved? I don’t want to live in the rescue shelter but my foster mom has to leave town and then get surgery so I have no choice. I guess I never had a choice. I didn’t CHOOSE to get paralyzed. I didn’t CHOOSE to be dumped at a kill shelter and I didn’t CHOOSE to be homeless and unloved for so long. I depend on YOU to help change my life. I can’t do it on my own. I really need you. Please share me. Thank you. I ‘ll be so grateful to get a family someday. ~ Coyote.

My name is Gemini and I have the sad “honor” of being the longest resident at Polka Dogz.
 I have been here since November 5, 2023.
 I am a very handsome Aussie mix born in July of 2022. I weigh around 50 lbs. 
When I first came to the rescue, I was so scared and became selective of the people that I wanted to pet me.  I was sent to a trainer and my foster family has been working with me  and now I have a new outlook on life. 
While I love my foster family and my dog friends, I really want a home of my very own.
 I have a lot of energy so need exercise. As you see in my photos, I love to play on the beach and go swimming in the ocean.
