Hey, I guess I just can't stay away 😉
No not back yet...

But it has come to my attention, there is a BRs Shaded Acres rabbitry. So give him credit and use his full name when advertising a bunny very misleading to use just Shaded Acre, then ppl including myself think it came from here, although seeing the animal I knew it didn't, never was able to produce a clean sable point. Beautiful animals I wish I could take credit for... but just some ethical tips. Use the breeders full name not an abbreviation as to not get us mixed up!

Honestly this is one reason, why I stepped away as well. Been burned too many times trying to help people. But, have also had great people that took my help and ran, and did well.

I will add to this video, if you are new... be prepared to do your own research also. Experienced breeders are happy to help and love talking bunnies. However we do get leary, so may take a while for us to truly open up completely to help more. We will talk with you, and share tips but also understand it does take work and your own research and time also... we can't do the work for you. If you're not prepared for the work, husbandry and housing requirements don't waste our time.

People ruin it for others, so like she says we all can do better about being kind and explaining why we are hesitant, or maybe don't have the time at the moment. Just know if you're new you might have to prove yourself first before other breeders truly step in to help. Sad reality really.... but if you're serious you'll stay persistent and not give up.

When Colten and I started, I can honestly say other then Erica, not many were super welcoming. I read and reread the standard, watched videos, googled... the list goes on. Talked with other breeders when I could get a moment of their time. I did the work, and stayed persistent. As I stayed in, stayed persistent, got better stock and didnt stay blind by this is what I have, more opened up and I found a wonderful group of people. That's life sometimes you have to prove yourself to get others to notice. Not easy and several thousands and yrs later, I walked away and missing it the community terribly.

Hey everyone been getting messages some repeat buyers, some new asking if I have anything available.

No bunnies left here... we are officially closed while I deal with some health issues my husband is having, and my autistic son. Life just got too complicated for bunnies too.

I appreciate everyone asking...
I still have friends with buns though and highly recommend the following as reputable honest breeders.

Those 4 have buns from Shaded Acre, as well as buns I've personally used and or know! They are great ladies (and gentleman) and very kind people to work with. And are somewhat local in my location.

Feel free to message Erica Wolf-Barnes or Barnes Bunnies for some nice stock that has produced great things for her. She hasn't had the time to get everything listed yet. She also has some nice looking chocolate Dutch looking also.
