Comment Journal and I’ll send you a link to my guide full of easy to read and follow tips for a successful first year of raising a dachshund. Sample pottytraining schedule and specific instructions on how to go about establishing a consistent routine. It’s interactive so you can upload pics, track milestones and record vet info. I also include in it a Do’s and Don’ts specifically for the first week when your puppy is making the big adjustment into your home. I put this in my puppy folder for adopters and it’s sooo helpful to know how to handle the transition through that first week. 🫶🏻

Fostering these dachs mix 8 wk old puppies for DREAM Dachshund Rescue. Must be local to adopt Houston TX area.
They will mature small they were not even 3 lbs yet at our vet appt. I know it’s hard to tell size from pics but they’re little guys!🥹💙
Their mom is a mini purebred black and tan dachshund (pics at end of post) rescued off of Nextdoor when the owner could no longer keep. Anddd then she had 3 tiny puppies a week later🤦🏼‍♀️😵‍💫🫠

Shaded Creams are born with a very dark overlay that fades over time and he’ll be a gorgeous creamy blonde💛
The Clear Cream is born that stunning platinum color very soft plush coat. He’s blue based so will keep that charcoal gray nose🤍
These are minis, vet checked and first vaccine🙌🏻🐾

Puppy pick up day is always bittersweet🥲🥰Wonderful family getting their 2nd silkywire dachshund pup from me so this little guy has a big brother waiting for him at home. They arranged to fly here and back in one day made it a Father/Son trip to come pick up their new puppy🥹💙✈️ I’m always a little stressed and nervous for the puppy with a long day of travel ahead of them but I know he’s safe and loved already and can’t wait to get updates and watch the little silky bros become best buds!🐾🐾

Silkywires are a genetic cross between longhair dachshund and a wirehair dachshund. Coat is long soft wavy curls minimal shedding but it’s a high maintenance coat that will require brushing and some grooming.

Ruffhouse Dachshunds

Lil’ Ruffhouse is an exclusive in home cage-free dog boarding facility for dachshunds and other socialized small breed dogs. We also proudly breed beautiful AKC Dachshund puppies. We live on 2 acres in Katy, TX conveniently located off of I-10 a few miles west of 99 Grand Pkwy and just 10 minutes from the Westpark Tollway. People have referred to our place as a Dachshund Disneyland, or Heaven on Earth for dogs, and often times I am told what a dream job I have. And I agree wholeheartedly! Properly socialized dogs thrive in this open environment with the comforts of home and unlimited access to the outdoors for exercise and adventures. It’s my goal to give dog owners peace of mind while traveling, and to provide a vacation for their dog while they enjoy their time away, without all the worry. My enduring love for the Dachshund breed motivated me to open Lil’Ruffhouse in June of 2011.
