Valerie's story with dogs started at 10 years old, with a Dachshund named Snoopy who had behavior issues that only she seemed to understand. That early connection led her to a job at a vet's office at 16, then years working at a local obedience training center, and eventually to opening Smarty Paws herself.

18 years later, she's still doing exactly what she started out loving: turning frustrated pet parents into proud ones, one relationship-first session at a time.

Happy Boss's Day to Valerie, though let's be honest, the dogs run the show. 😉
