The owners of The Dog Stop® spent several years researching the pet care industry, surveying the needs of local pet owners, and planning an all-inclusive facility after they saw a lack of transparency in the industry. and play, and pet owners would feel 100% confident in the superior care that their dogs were receiving. In 2009, the first The Dog Stop® doors opened in Pittsburgh, PA. Since that day, The Dog Stop’s mission has been to deliver a superior experience for the dogs and their whole families by providing a safe environment, offering educational opportunities, anticipating and exceeding the needs of clients and their pet companions, instilling complete peace of mind for those we serve – and to earn their trust every day! Today, there are over 20 Stops throughout the United States! Each Stop is locally owned and operated, but was bred and trained on the original The Dog Stop morals and mission. The Dog Stop Expands to Cincinnati!

We’re thrilled to announce the grand opening of The Dog Stop Cincinnati Central, our very first location in the Queen City! 🎉

Led by local owner Mary Beth Schutter, this state-of-the-art facility is designed with every dog in mind — from energetic pups to those needing a little extra care and calm. Following Fear Free® principles, the team will focus on creating a safe, enriching, and stress-free environment for all dogs.

Join us for our Open House and Ribbon Cutting with the Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, November 8, from 12–2 p.m. at 5164 Kennedy Ave. Enjoy facility tours, raffles (including a chance to win a year of free daycare!), and a special nod to local history with the original MadTree Brewery beer truck on site.

We offer daily dog daycare, overnight boarding, professional grooming services, in-home services (dog walking, pet sitting and transportation) as well as a retail store filled with the best foods, treats, toys and accessories available on the market.
