🚨URGENT REMINDER🚨

As temperatures continue to rise, we urge everyone to remember that the interior of a vehicle can become dangerously hot in just minutes - posing a life-threatening risk to both people and animals.

On May 27, 2025, Manvel Police and Animal Control responded to a distressing incident involving a dog left inside a vehicle with the windows up and the engine off. Due to the extreme heat and the animal’s visible distress, officers were forced to break a window to
rescue the dog. The animal was treated at a local veterinary clinic and is now in the care of Animal Control. The dog’s owner has been identified and charged with Animal Cruelty.

This is a serious reminder: Never leave a person or pet in a parked vehicle—no matter how brief the stop may seem.

Be responsible. Be aware. Save a life.
