This is Maya Wren, a 1.5-year-old Shih Tzu, just 10.4 pounds of softness, sweetness, and quiet hope. She came to CAMO Rescue with 12 other dogs, and though the world has felt a little big and a little loud, her heart has remained gentle. In the shelter’s bustle, she’s shy… but when she feels safe, she blossoms, soft eyes, slow wags, and a sweetness that settles right into your soul.
Her Houston foster mom called her the sweetest girl, a tiny shadow who loves to be close. A Velcro dog, stitched to your side, finding comfort in simply being near the one she trusts. She doesn’t ask for much, just a calm home, a warm lap, and someone who sees the quiet magic in her.
This holiday season, Maya’s wish is simple:

Maya is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and up to date on preventions.
She’s still learning her potty routine and needs a patient adopter.
