Caring for and healing the hearts, bodies and minds of Boston Terriers in need, whether from neglect, abandonment or abuse until they are ready for their forever homes. Our goal is be an additional resource for the Boston rescues already in existence and work hand in hand with them towards the same common goals, putting the best interest of the dogs first and foremost. We are a home-based foster and ran by volunteers.

Those BIG ears! Those adorable eyes! And that sweet little face! 😍

Remember Tater? One half of the darling duo found dumped in the woods? Well, this little guy is officially neutered and ready to trade his rough start for a lifetime of love and family fun!

🐾 6 months old
🐾 Petite little guy — about 10–12 lbs (if that!)
🐾 Super sweet, playful, and full of personality
🐾 Dog friendly
🐾 Doing great with house and crate training
🐾 Neutered and ready for adoption!

Tater may be small, but he’s got BIG love to give! ❤️

What a difference! 🐾 LEWEY IS READY TO FIND HIS FOREVER FAMILY! ❤️

This sweet boy has been through a lot, but Lewey is healing — both physically and emotionally. And through it all, he has remained the sweetest, most loving little guy!

At 2.5 years old, Lewey has so much love to give!

🐾 Everybody, meet LEWEY! 🐾

Please help us welcome our newest little guy to the STBTR family!

Lewey is just 2 years old and came to us as an owner surrender. And y’all, this poor baby is a HOT MESS. ❤️

He’s itchy, he’s stinky, and his skin is in absolutely awful shape. 💔 We can only imagine how uncomfortable he must be.

But underneath all that? One SUPER sweet boy who deserves to feel good in his own skin again!

Lewey will be getting vetted this week, and we’ll know more about what we’re dealing with and how we can help him heal.

For now, he’s safe, he’s loved, and he’s officially part of the STBTR family. ❤️

🎃 Meet Rocky — our pumpkin-picking, cuddle-loving sweetheart! 🐾

Rocky has been busy helping his foster family get ready for fall! He even tagged along to pick out the perfect pumpkin for their front porch. And the kids there? He LOVED them!

This handsome 3-year-old boy is a super sweet, goofy cuddlebug who sounds like the whole package!

🥰 Sweet, silly, and always ready for cuddles

🎃 Excellent pumpkin-picking assistant (a very important skill!)

Rocky heads to the vet Wednesday for his routine vetting and will be ready for his forever home soon!

And YES, we are already accepting applications!

Seriously, what more could you ask for? A handsome boy who loves everyone, has great house manners, and will even help with your fall decorating? 😂

❤️ A WEEK AGO, WE WERE DROWNING. TODAY, WE CAN BREATHE AGAIN. ❤️

And it’s because of YOU.

A week ago, we were staring at thousands of dollars in unexpected veterinary bills. Miller needed surgery. Pearl was fighting for her life. And two little puppies, Tater and Tot, had been dumped and needed someone to step up.

We were overwhelmed, worried, and wondering how we were going to keep up.

So we did something that’s never easy.

We asked for help.

We asked you to give $5. Skip a coffee. Share a post. Tell a friend.

And y’all SHOWED UP.

You gave Miller the chance to heal.
You helped us fight for Pearl when the odds were against her.

And you reminded a group of exhausted rescue volunteers that we’re not doing this alone.

The needs haven’t stopped. We already have two more dogs coming into rescue with serious medical needs. One needs a leg amputated, and another has a severe skin condition.

That’s the reality of rescue. Just when you think you might catch your breath, another little life needs saving.

☕❤️ IT’S $5 FRIDAY! FOUR DOGS. ONE VILLAGE. ONE BIG HEART! 🐾

We’ve shared their stories all week. Now we’re asking our village to show up!

In just THREE days, our rescue faced approximately $3,500 in unexpected veterinary expenses for Miller and Pearl.

🐾 MILLER came to us severely emaciated and needing serious medical care. He’s undergone surgery to remove an eye and a growth, along with being neutered. He made it through surgery, but his road to recovery is just beginning.

🐾 PEARL gave us quite the scare! After suddenly going into respiratory distress, two emergency vet visits, and hospitalization, we were told she had just a 40% chance of survival.

But yesterday, we got the news we’d been hoping for. Pearl was cleared to go home! ❤️ She’s still recovering, but we’re so grateful for this step forward.

And just when you think rescue might give you a minute to catch your breath…

🐾 MEET TATER & TOT!

Two little puppies who were DUMPED.

That’s right. While we’re working to get Miller and Pearl healthy, two more innocent little lives need our help.

They didn’t ask to be abandoned. They didn’t ask to become rescue dogs. But they’re here now, and they deserve a chance, too.

The need never stops. And neither does rescue.

❤️ PEARL HAS GOOD NEWS! 🐾

If you’ve been following our rescue this week, you know sweet Pearl has been fighting for her life.

After doing so well for the past month, everything changed Sunday.

Pearl went into respiratory distress, was rushed to TWO emergency vets, and ultimately hospitalized at Bay City Vet.

Her heartworm disease complicated everything, and at one point, we were told she had just a 40% chance of survival. 💔

BUT TODAY WE HAVE GOOD NEWS!

❤️ PEARL IS COMING HOME! ❤️

Anette is picking her up around 1 PM!

She’s not completely out of the woods. Her breathing still isn’t where the vets want it, although that’s expected for a while. She also hasn’t had a bowel movement since being hospitalized, so we’ll be watching that closely.

But she’s coming home, and that’s a HUGE victory!

If you know Pearl, you know she’s a little Frenchie with a BIG personality who loves snuggles, attention, and making everything about HER. 😂

Now she gets to continue healing surrounded by love.

But we still need our village!

Between Pearl’s emergency hospitalization and Miller’s surgeries, our rescue has faced approximately $3,500 in vet expenses in just THREE days.

🐾 MILLER SURVIVED. NOW HE NEEDS OUR HELP TO HEAL. ❤️

Yesterday, we introduced you to two very special dogs who have put our rescue’s resources to the test this week.

Today, we want you to meet Miller a little more closely.

Just look at this boy. 💔

Miller came into rescue severely emaciated, his little body showing just how much he’d already endured.

This week, he underwent surgery to remove an eye, was neutered, and had a growth removed.

He made it through surgery. But his journey is far from over.

Now comes the part that takes time, patience, nourishment, and continued veterinary care. Miller needs to regain his strength and learn what it feels like to be healthy, safe, and loved.

And while Miller is recovering, sweet Pearl is still facing her own critical medical battle.

Between these two dogs, our rescue has taken on approximately $3,500 in veterinary expenses in just three days.

That’s why we’re asking our village to come together for $5 FRIDAY FOR MILLER & PEARL!

☕ Think about it. Five dollars. Less than many of us spend on a coffee.
