We're a few days into the New Year, and you don't want to forget about your Christmas tree! It isn't just a fire hazard—it’s also dangerous for your pets!

🐶 Curious pets might chew on brittle branches or drink stagnant tree water, which can cause health issues.

🔥 Dry needles can catch fire easily, putting your whole household at risk.

🎯 Take it down today! Your pets (and your home) will thank you.

It's time for our first Shelter Pick of the Week of 2026! Say hello to Nash (A646875)! 🐶

This 2-year-old pup has been with us since November. He's ready to find his forever home. 🏠 He's energetic and loving, which makes the perfect combo! Though he's heartworm positive, a little treatment will fix him right up!

Christmas might be over, but the leftovers are still hanging around 👀
Before you share “just a little bite” with your pets, remember:

Some common holiday foods can be dangerous for pets — including ham, turkey skin, bones, gravy, sweets, and anything with onions or garlic.

If your pet gets into something they shouldn’t, don’t wait — contact your vet or an emergency animal clinic right away.

A quick reminder that we are OPEN tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 27! We can't wait to see you!

🎄🐾 Christmas Day Pet Safety Tips! 🐾🎄

Keep your furry friends safe while enjoying the holiday magic! Here are a few reminders:
🎁 Secure Decorations: Curious paws can topple trees and nibble on tinsel—keep breakables and ornaments out of reach.
🍫 Watch the Treats: Chocolate, grapes, and holiday goodies can be dangerous for pets. Keep snacks on the table, not the floor!
🔥 Candle Care: Place candles in safe spots away from wagging tails or curious kitties.
🚪 Door Dashers: With guests coming and going, ensure your pet has a quiet, secure space to retreat.

Learn more at bit.ly/holiday-safety-pets. Wishing you a safe and joyful Christmas Day! 🎅🐶🐱

Also a reminder we ARE closed tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 26. We will return with normal hours of operations beginning Saturday, Dec. 27.
