🐾 180 SURGERIES. ONE INCREDIBLE TEAM! ❤️

Today was a HUGE day at Harris County Pets! Thanks to an incredible team effort, we successfully completed 180 spay and neuter surgeries in just ONE day! 🎉

A huge shoutout to our amazing Banfield volunteers, Animal Control Officers (ACOs), animal care team, medical and veterinary technicians, and BISSELL surgeons who worked tirelessly to make this possible!

We also want to recognize our incredible office team for working behind the scenes to enter microchip information and coordinate with adopters to get their pets home.

To everyone who helped make today possible, THANK YOU! 🧡🐶🐱 This is what teamwork looks like, and we couldn't be prouder of everyone involved!

We were so excited to welcome back one of our favorite rescue partners, Service Dogs, Inc., today!

Their team stopped by Harris County Pets and selected three of our shelter dogs who they believe have the potential to become incredible service animals! 🐕‍🦺

Service Dogs, Inc. is a Texas-based nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of people with disabilities through professionally trained assistance dogs. Their work helps provide greater independence, confidence, and companionship to individuals who need it most.

Partnerships like this mean so much to us. Not only do they give our shelter pets a second chance, but they also open the door for these dogs to make a life-changing difference for someone else.

We are incredibly grateful for our continued partnership with Service Dogs, Inc., and for their dedication to recognizing the amazing potential of shelter dogs.

Three dogs, three new journeys, and endless possibilities! 🐾❤️

Thank you, Service Dogs, Inc., for everything you do. We can't wait to see what the future holds for these four pups!

🐾💙 October is Pit Bull Awareness Month!

Meet Lettie (A652680)! 🐶 This beautiful girl is one of the many pit bull-type dogs who remind us why every pet deserves to be seen for their unique personality, not just their breed.

Pit Bull Awareness Month is an opportunity to celebrate these wonderful dogs, challenge misconceptions, and encourage responsible pet ownership. ❤️

Lettie is currently enjoying life in foster care while waiting for her forever family! 🏡

🎃🐾 WOW! What an incredible night at Paws & Pumpkins!

Our hearts are so full! ❤️ Our first-ever Paws & Pumpkins fall event was an AMAZING experience, and we couldn't have done it without our wonderful Harris County community!

From face painting and balloon animals to popcorn, games, and so much more, it was an evening filled with fun, laughter, and plenty of wagging tails! 🐶🐱

But what made the night truly special? Seeing cats and dogs find their forever homes AND welcoming community members who had never heard of Harris County Pets or visited our facility before! 🏡❤️

For us, this event was about more than just celebrating fall. It was an opportunity to connect with our community, introduce more people to the work we do, and most importantly, give our shelter pets more opportunities to find loving families.

THANK YOU to everyone who came out, celebrated with us, and helped make our first fall event such an incredible success! 🧡

We had such a wonderful time, and we hope to do it again soon!

Special thank you to our partners over at the Harris County District Clerk's office, Harris County Public Health and High Meadows Branch Library for joining us. ❤️

🐾 Missed out on the fun? Make sure you're following Harris County Pets so you don't miss our next event. We can't wait to see you!
