It’s time for the Sunday update! The little ones are almost 4 weeks old. This week the pups experienced their first Texas storm. We have a metal roof on our home so we experience the full drama. They did great and slept soundly.
Earlier in the week, they had a little walk in the garden. I did the walking and they did the gawking. We have several audacious cardinals that hovered around a bit to see what was carrying. They always steal my heart.
This week, we had one little boy, Cash, that stole the show. One question we often get, is if we ‘potty train’. We do start them on this journey quite young but we had one little boy that did something extraordinary. I spend a lot of time watching these little ones. While the others were dutifully using the p*e pads or litter box, this 3 week old pup walks up to a corner of the puppy blanket that jutted up, lifted his leg like a pro, and p*ed. Imagine my awe. He’s a natural. It was a full fledged ‘big boy ‘shot. Would all his brethren take note. I am a proud mom. Lets see if he keeps it up😀🐕
Not all pups graduate from our home potty trained as it does take a while, but Cash has a head start!
