Cats like boxes. A new revelation, we know. Edamame likes boxes too. He also likes to sneak and back and forth from the bathroom to the bedroom, peeking a look at the dogs as he slips by. Edamame was a bottle baby single orphan kitten handraised in 2024 who STILL hasnt been adopted! Not for any personality reason bc he is the biggest sweetheart who loves being held and understands the assignment. He speaks human and gets along well with other animals. Adoption Announcement:
The doggy formerly known as Sookie is finally in her new home with her dog dad, Jason!
Jason has renamed her Sadie, and is excited to give her a new life, too! Jason has always had a dog by his side throughout his life as one of his best friends, and has high hopes that with time he and Sadie will be inseparable, especially since he works from home. He has planned many walks and outings for them already.
Jason is known to be a loving, nurturing and very responsible pet parent; therefore, we also are looking forward to hearing back about all their adventures together!

Adoption Announcement:

Dave and Joanne are responsible, warm-hearted caring animal lovers who have an extended family and friends that are just as wonderful and supportive to lend a hand. They lost their own dog four years ago, and soon after started traveling.
Now, they have decided to put that on hold for a while and open their big yard, home and hearts to this gentle and sweet, beautiful big boy!
Bernstein Bear is timid at first, but once he warms up, he becomes everyone's friend! His personality is so loving and trusting. He is so good, well behaved, gentle, nice, and obedient. He loves to cuddle and kiss! Just so happy and lovable!
Bear was scheduled to be dropped off at Houston's BARC kill shelter on Thursday, Jan 9, 2025 by his prior owner. His owner desperately did not want to take him there, but there were circumstances beyond his control. Fortunately, the previous owner found out about us and reached out for help. GNAR found a spot for him in a group foster home just in time. And now, we couldn’t be more happy to know that he will now have a second chance to live the rest of his life in his new forever home thanks to Dave and Joanne!

Adoption Announcement:
Chris has had pets throughout his life! They all have lived happy and long lives with him. Though most of them have been cats, he felt it was time to add to his life a dog. 🐶
He had been preparing for Ivy’s welcoming for a while. He got everything Ivy might need in his home, toys, food, a cozy sleeping spot, new vet and had explored places to take Ivy to. Even his friends were aware of the adoption and anticipating his arrival. They vouch that Chris is the best doggy dad Ivy could have, and know he will live his best life alongside him. 💖

Adoption Announcement:

Some call it “love at first sight!”
And, that’s just the case for the Blount family! They were so captivated by Hopps when they first saw him that they decided to adopt him!
From the get-go, they were looking for a companion not just for their 13 year old Beagle mix, Harley, but for the whole familly. Once their eyes laid on Hopps, they knew he would be the perfect fit for all their hearts!
They were so excited to share all the plans they have for him, like good walks, quality food, lots of time to run and roam free, and endless hugs and kisses. Plus, he would never be alone because Harley would always by his side and his human family nearby.

Adoption Announcement:
Congratulations to Tonja and Cujo for finding each other!🫶🏽🫶🏽
Tonja had always had large dogs like pits or German Shepards and has adopted from rescues before. She knew what went into training and adjusting to a new pup in the house; therefore, she was more than ready to bring Cujo home!
We were thrilled to hear that Cujo has already been on walks and car rides with his new mom.

We are so excited to share how spectacular this young lady is, and the wonderful news of Horchata’s adoption!
Anaya’s family dog passed away last December. Since then, there’s been an undeniable void in her family’s heart and home. Anaya, a recent high school graduate, was convinced that the time had come to open their hearts and home to a new four legged friend. She also knew that her parents might need a little persuading, soooo she put together a presentation to sway her mom and dad to realize that Horchata was the perfect fit.
Anaya might have a career in marketing, because we are pleased to announce that her mission was accomplished! Lol! Horchata has been adopted and taken to her new forever home!!! 🎉👏🏽😻
