Texas Litter Control is celebrating National Spay/Neuter Awareness month throughout the month of February. We have decided to bring back one of our most popular events - our $5 male cat neuter day. "Give us a Lincoln, and we'll keep your cat from stinkin'!"

We will be performing up to 100 male cat neuters at each of our locations on National Spay Day (Tuesday, February 25th). This event will be a walk-in event (first come first serve). Check-in will be at 7am. You must be in line by 7:30am to be eligible for this event. Limit 2 cats per household. We will not be accepting feral cats at this event and rescue groups are not eligible. This is for male cats only. We will not be accepting appointments for this day. Please DO NOT call to make an appointment. Please be prepared to wait in line if you plan on participating in this event. Cat neuters will be $5. Your cat will be receiving a vet exam prior to surgery so you will be able to purchase any other services at the time of surgery. Your cat is required to be current on rabies, so if he is not, you will have to purchase a rabies vaccine.

KEEP YOUR PETS SAFE THIS NEW YEAR'S EVE!

Between the popping of fireworks and champagne corks, New Year's Eve can be a lot for our furry friends to handle. Start the year on the right paw following Constable Mark Herman's safety tips.

- Keep Pets Indoors: Keep your pets in a safe, enclose room preferably one with no windows. If you are having guests over, consider keeping pets in a room that's off limits to guests.

- Create a Calming Environment: Surround pets with their favorite toys and familiar objects.

- Update Identification: The biggest risk of New Year's is that pets will get loose and become lost. Make sure your pets are microchipped and wearing identification tags.
