🚨 Bringing important client announcements outside of our portal and onto the ol internet to make sure even prospective clients are informed!

➡️ It is NO SECRET that we are MASSIVE PLANNERS. Tackling a schedule is something I seriously geek out on. 🤓

👩🏼‍🍼 With my maternity leave quickly approaching, planning in advance ensures we have the appropriate staffing *and* allows our team to also plan their own personal holidays with their families. ✨

We’re thrilled to welcome our new clients, Beso and Bunny! They're making great progress with their loose leash walking thanks to the training stylings of Atalie Walding ( ).

At Shaggy Chic, we offer ✨supplemental training✨ to help reinforce the goals you are working towards. We work alongside your certified professional trainer to integrate new skills, provide consistent reinforcement, and be your pets’ biggest supporters! If we notice behavior that could benefit from a professional touch, we’re happy to connect you with the right trainer.

We’re so excited to be part of Beso and Bunny’s journey, helping them grow, learn, and have fun along the way. Thank you to their family and Atalie for your communication and trust in our teamwork—it truly makes a difference!

What's our tie to Canine Companions? I'm so glad you asked! As the CEO of Shaggy Chic Pet Services, continuing education is *a must* in order to best serve our clients. Both myself and team lead, Trish, have certifications from Duke University's Dog Behavior and Cognition course, taught by the one and only Brian Hare - who happens to be a professor at Duke and director of the Duke Canine Cognition Center, where his research and testing with Duke Puppy Kindergarten pinpoints the right candidates for the service dogs that Canine Companions moves forward with. 👉ISN'T THAT INCREDIBLE?! I've also read his books The Genius of Dogs and Survival of The Friendliest and am such a huge fan of his entire body of work.

Canine Companions has a mission to provide expertly trained service dogs to adults, children and veterans with disabilities FREE of charge. Let's celebrate the human-canine bond that these glorious creatures provide all of us - service dog or pet. 🎉

Join us for a fun day with your friends, family, and pups, all while supporting an incredible cause; raising funds to provide trained service dogs to individuals with disabilities. 🐕‍🦺💙

Enjoy free entry, dog-themed games, live music, local vendors (come say hi!), inspiring service dog demonstrations, and a raffle, with all proceeds going to help individuals with disabilities.
