Memorial Town & Country Animal Clinic is a progressive clinic that was created with the ever growing needs of our clients and patients in mind. The facility accommodates the changing needs in the veterinary medical field. Brasher is a highly qualified Texas A&M graduate with outstanding experience and reputation. He has been in practice in the Memorial area of Houston for over 20 years. Associate

veterinarian Dr. Mark Peterson also attended Texas A&M. In recent years, he has spent most of his efforts working with small animals and has studied the use of ultrasound to diagnose problems and continues to seek more in depth studies in the field. The clinic is equipped to offer many modern diagnostic services including ultrasound, radiology, electrocardiography (EKG), and clinical pathology. Once a diagnosis is made, we are staffed to meet most surgical and medical needs. The well being of our patients is top priority. If there is anything yall need before this weekend please call or text us any refills or prescriptions needed for your furr babies! Happy Wednesday!! We have a special announcement, we are welcoming a new Dr that is starting with us today, Dr Hallier!!

Dr. Hallier graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023 after earning her undergraduate degree from Texas Christian University. She began her veterinary career in the Dallas area, where she spent her first three years in practice developing a special interest in preventative medicine, dentistry, and providing compassionate end-of-life care for pets and their families.

A Texas native, Dr. Hallier met her husband in high school, and together they now have a son, Colton, and a lively household that includes three dogs—Ollie, Copper, and Lucy—and a turtle named Pablo.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Hallier embraces what she affectionately calls "grandma hobbies." She enjoys needlepointing, getting lost in a good book, and spending time baking for family and friends. She is passionate about building lasting relationships with pet owners and helping every patient live a healthier, happier life.

🇺🇸 4th of July Pet Safety Reminder 🎆🐾

We will be closed Saturday, July 4th!!

While fireworks are fun for us, they can be scary and stressful for our furry friends. Loud noises can cause anxiety, panic, and even lead pets to run away if they become frightened.

If your pet has a history of anxiety during fireworks, don’t wait until the last minute! If they may need medication to help them stay calm or need to be refilled, please contact us this week before the holiday rush!

A few additional tips to help keep your pets safe:
🐶 Keep them indoors in a quiet, secure room.
🎶 Play calming music or turn on the TV to help mask fireworks.
🏷️ Make sure collars, ID tags, and microchip information are up to date.
❤️ Never bring pets to fireworks displays.

🐾☀️ Summer Safety Reminder for Dog Owners ☀️🐾

As temperatures rise, it’s important to keep our furry friends safe and comfortable!

🔥 Watch for signs of overheating: Excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, bright red gums, or collapse can all be signs of heat stress or heatstroke. If you notice these symptoms, move your dog to a cool area and contact your veterinarian immediately.

🐕 Avoid hot pavement: If the concrete is too hot for your hand for 7 seconds, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws. Hot surfaces can cause painful burns and injuries.

🚶 Walk smart: Plan walks during the cooler parts of the day—early morning or late evening. Bring water and take frequent breaks in shaded areas.

💧 Help them stay cool: Provide plenty of fresh water, access to shade, cooling mats, fans, or air-conditioned spaces. Never leave a pet in a parked vehicle, even for a few minutes.

❤️ A little extra caution can help ensure your dog enjoys a safe, happy summer. If you have questions about heat safety or your pet’s health, contact your veterinarian.
