🐾 Welcome Dr. Michelle Henkelman to the Animal Medical Center of the Village family!

Dr. Henkelman is a Texas A&M grad and Houston native who is excited to be back home serving her community. She has a special passion for exotic animal medicine, senior pet care, and preventative medicine.

When she's not caring for patients, she enjoys gardening, baking, exploring Houston's food scene, and hanging out with her husband, two dogs (Princess and June), and two cats (Colby and Birdie). She hopes to add an exotic pet to her home soon!

Help us welcome our newest DVM, Dr. Henkelman! She has a special interest in exotic animal medicine, which began with her pet duck, Hamilton,and continued by tracking Alternative in exotic animal medicine in vet school. During that time, she had the opportunity to work alongside several exotic animal specialists. Dr. Henkelman also enjoys looking at slides under the microscope (cytologies) and is passionate about senior pet care and the huge role preventative care plays in her patients’ lives.
