Please help Adopt a Cat get through its final few months. We are still seeking homes for approximately 30 cats/kittens. Once they are placed, we are closing our doors forever. Until then, they still need food, vet visits, and of course, the electric bill, gas bill, and others need to be paid.

31 YEARS of Saving the World One Cat at a Time

Beverly Harper, our esteemed director, established Adopt a Cat all the way back in September of 1994! She’s had a special affinity for cats ever since rescuing her first kitty when she was only 5 years old. Rescuing cats and kittens was a calling that became her mission in life. Thousands of unwanted, homeless, and abandoned cats found loving homes and lived their best lives because of the work she selflessly dedicated her life to.

Certainly, this feat couldn’t have been accomplished without generous help from the community. There have been so many wonderful people to grace Adopt a Cat with offers to volunteer, to foster cats and kittens, to donate food, and to donate money. You all have been a lifeline guiding us through the many bleak storms we’ve faced. We can’t possibly express how much we and the kitties appreciate each and every one of you! You’ve warmed our hearts with your love and generosity.

We prefer people visit with the available kitties first, before they decide to adopt; this way we can make sure they are the right kitty for you! If you do decide to adopt, we will ask you questions and go over the adoption contract with you. Depending on the assessment, and if the kitty is ready to go, you may go home with the kitty that day, but we may also ask you to set up an appointment to come back another day. The best time to visit the kitties at our rescue is Mon-Sun 11am - 2pm. You Don't need an appointment to Visit with the kitties but you Do need an Appointment to Adopt one.
