💜 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:
I turned pancho into BARC yesterday. I found him on my street last week and he stayed at my house for 3 nights. He was very affectionate to me and my BF Super friendly to my dog too and wanted to play. He loved fetch and knew how to sit. Seemed house trained and slept quietly in the crate. Such a cutie, but he is extremely stressed at BARC and they made him RO on euth tomorrow.

📝 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:

Behavior (attempting to bite handler when working up, had to be restrained and muzzled, thrashing, defecating, very tense on leash now, shows teeth when handler attempts to remove leash and becomes snappy, safety hook used to remove leash)

with some staff members was forward barking, showing teeth with stiff wagging tail when approached. One staff member
was able to leash but he still had a stiff flag tail, tense and erect ears sniffing her. Had to try to work up after tried to bite ACT again due to turn in. Once trying to restrain began thrashing, hard staring and open, tense mouth. Senior ACT muzzled and covered with towel, was spraying a**l glands and defecating, thrashing. Eventually able to work up, but unable to remove muzzle due to dog trying to bite and biting the hook when trying to take it off. Had to use scissors once dog was in kennel to cut off the leash ring off so he could take the muzzle off himself.

💜 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:
This boy here I don’t understand completely why he is rescue only. He is so incredibly smart! He knows “sit” and he seems to know “stay”. I’m not going to lie he was a little jumpy and he pulled when he first got out of the kennel but he had to potty so badly! He pooped 2 times and peed for what seemed like forever! After he took care of that he was fine! He did really enjoy being outside so I think he’ll need someone who’s active or has an active lifestyle. He did great with his temp test with another dog! He took treats well also. When I went to place him back in the kennel he went with no issues and laid down on the blanket.

Shelter 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:

10/31/2025 – When approaching kennel, Rocky was jumping on kennel door, high-pitch barking and screaming, knocking over his water bowl.
11/1/2025 – Overly aroused, high-pitch barking, jumping at kennel front. Cover kennel and provide extra enrichment.
11/2/2025 – Aroused in kennel, jumping on door. Once leashed, walked on semi-tight leash. Outside, was hyper and pulled forward. Attempted to return him to kennel, but became mouthy and jumped repeatedly when handler attempted to unleash. Continued to bark and pull when returned.
11/3/2025 – Initially quiet with wiggly body when approached. Once door opened, became jumpy again. Walked on semi-tight leash, barked when returned to kennel.

🚑𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:

10/30/2025 – 45.0 lbs, HW test negative. DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies (1 Year), Deworm, Pyrant, Advantage Multi 20.1–55 lbs.
10/30/2025 – Owner reported limping, but dog walked normally upon exam. Condition: Normal (4/9).

💜 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:

This frosty faced lady cracked me up the moment I met her, I had been taking out dogs around her so she was patiently waiting her turn, when I finally came back she pressed her nose up against the kennel like “pleaseeeeee”. She’s pretty laid back and chill but will get on her hind legs for a treat! She seemed more interested in the dog we temp tested her and seemed to long for a dog friend. She has the sweetest smile and would love to see past 1pm tomorrow.

💜 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:

This cutie Bella is a little girl weighing about 40 lbs. she was calm in her kennel and excited to get outside. Once outside she was so curious about Everything going on around her. She allowed me to pet her and she took treats well but her interest was more about seeing everything around her. Even when we did the temp test another dog near her didn’t even bother her. With her smaller size she’d be good in a house or apartment.

10/29/2025 – 61.8 lbs, HW test high positive. DA2PPV vaccine administered.
10/30/2025 – 61.8 lbs, diagnosed with generalized alopecia and dermatitis. Treated with Clavamox 375mg and 62.5mg BID x14 days, dewormed, Rabies, Bordetella, Pyrant, Advantage Multi 55.1–88 lbs applied.
Skin scrape performed; may need Apoquel or Cytopoint for allergies.
Condition: Healing, HW+, skin irritation from allergies

10/30/2025 – Dog has generalized hair loss over body, skin thickening, and scabbing. Physical exam noted mild dental tartar, otherwise normal. Heart and lungs clear, no parasites found. Diagnosed with generalized dermatitis—possible demodex, food, or environmental allergies.

Approaching kennel, Cowgril comes to me playbowing with a fast tail wag and wiggly body as I babytalk to her. I redirect her attention with treats and she then follows them into the other side of the doggy door.
Very playfull, she presents wiggly body and takes treats, she prefers to walk on the leash and gets uncomfortable when you carry her, so she tries to get down all the time.
