We’ve fundraised. We’ve done meet and greets. We’ve posted and refreshed profiles monthly for so long.

We want to find each of these loves their own homes. All but one of these dogs is in boarding. We’d love foster or adopters. Please, please help us. Our goal is for all of these dogs to be adopted this year!

Meet Riley! What can we say that captures this unique boy? He is silly, playful and confident. Riley loves fetch (but is not a star athlete)! He also loves trips to Lazy Dog Cafe with burgers on occasion.

Riley is looking for a seasoned family to join that knows what they want from a dog. He has all of his basic training down after attending a board and train program. His trainer said if he didn't have 4 dogs of his own, he would've adopted Riley on the spot.

Riley needs someone that is committed to keeping up his training. His family should match his confidence and discipline for routine. In turn they'll be rewarded with a family member that is unique and loving. This guy bonds for life!

Riley can be placed in a foster or adopters home with other dogs as long as the dog isn’t a fearful dog or overly stimulated dog. He needs a confident, chill, playful dog to interact with. If they are overstimulated they get him stimulated. If they are fearful he wants to protect them

Talli’s foster brother Rusty got adopted. Now it’s T’s turn!

She’s a petite lady with a lot of s***k! Gets along great with other dogs, and prefers a confident leader in her humans.

T was rescued as a dirty, mangey stray in the city. Now, she’s ready to take over your couch forever after.

Rusty update: his northern foster fam has decided to adopt him! We are all cheering that his search for a forever home is now complete!

Rusty has a loving human family and a fellow Houston transport in his new sister: Kima!

Thank you to everyone that shared, donated, and loved on Rusty over his three years with us. Once a forgotten dog left chained up at an abandoned home, and the love of someone’s life forever.

We are so excited to announce that Rusty has transported to the north! This sweet, nearly perfect boy waited 3 years in a foster home here in Houston.

He is good with people, dogs, and cats. He is a cuddle bug. He isn’t too big or too small. He wasn’t reactive. He did well at adoption events. We had candid photos and professional photos. He doesn’t have any scary health complications.

He was ready for a home.

And thanks to how completely overpopulated Houston is as a city, he never found an adopter here through no fault of his own.

Now, Rusty has a fresh start and our whole team has cried real tears of joy about it.

Thank you to his foster Kara, our team, Gals Best Pal and every one else that’s been part of his journey.

Miles isn’t new here.

He’s been through training, outings, photoshoots, dna tests for better marketing and more rounds of stuffed toy destruction than we can count. He lives in boarding his amazing trainer Jonathan Daniel, who’s gone above and beyond for him for years. But this isn’t the forever we want for him.

Miles is four, or five-Ish. He’s obedient, food-motivated, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining. He loves yard zoomies. He’s learned patience and self-control and he’s ready for someone who sees the worth in a dog like him.

If you’ve ever said “I’d adopt if the right one came along,” Miles might be the one you’ve been waiting on. Please don’t scroll past the dogs who’ve been here too long. They’re not broken. They’re just still waiting.

Just a little photo dump to remind you of Barbie and Chloe. Barb and Chlo came to us timid, and skittish of people years ago. They were shelter dogs we rescued knowing no one else would give them a chance.

Now they play with other dogs, adventure to Home Depot, and take long lead walks on nature paths with the people they board with at Happy Dawgz Boarding.

Barbie and Chloe are available for adoption together or separately.
