Little update!
Little bit nervous about making this post but here goes…😬
I kinda jumped into this biz modeling the microgreen businesses in the lower 48.
I am on my 5th harvest and looked at my numbers thinking am I breaking even? umm barely and even in the red sometimes🤦🏼♀️
I have actually been charging a little less than the lower 48 but my cost of goods is so much higher.
Just electricity and shipping(30 percent of my order), dirt(coco), seeds, packaging, labels, deliveries and my labor.
I am trying to give the best price I can because I want to share these nutricious greens with everyone! I hope everyone understands and will continue to support my little home biz.
I could go the route of non organic seeds and soil to bring cost down but that is just a non negotiable for me. With all the pesticides used today and the damage it is taking on all of our health, I can’t contribute to that.
