Hi! Just a quick policy update from Untangled Grooming. Beginning November 1st, appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a fee of 50% of the scheduled service, and no-shows may be charged 100%.

I completely understand that emergencies happen, and those situations will always be considered on a case-by-case basis. The grooming agreement has been updated to reflect this change, and all other policies remain the same.

📣 BOOKING UPDATE!

If you’ve checked my online booking and thought, “Dang, she’s booked until January!” — I’m not! 😂

I still have appointments available in October, November, AND December! 🎄🐾

I intentionally keep some appointment times hidden from online booking so I can manage my schedule and avoid accidentally overbooking myself.

So, if you don’t see anything available online, please text me! I may still have a spot available or be able to find somewhere to fit you in. 💕

I’ve also opened up more December availability, so if you’re wanting your pup fresh and clean for the holidays, now is a great time to get on the schedule! 🎅🏼🐶

Happy Sunday — and happy first day of National Veterinary Technician Week!

🐾 It's National Veterinary Technician Week! (Oct 18–24)

Hi, I'm Kayla 👋 — and before I was a full-time groomer, I was a licensed veterinary technician. That training is with me at every appointment: I'm watching your pet's skin, ears, nails, and body language with trained eyes the whole time — not just making them look cute.

That's the whole idea behind Untangled Grooming: grooming should never be scary. One pet at a time, no kennels, no rushing. Just calm, patient, one-on-one care.

This year's theme is "Endless Compassion, Expert Care" — and honestly, that's just how I groom every day. 💛

🍂 Fall looks good on good dogs… but you know what looks even better? A pre-booked holiday appointment. 😂

We’re officially entering the part of the year where my schedule starts filling up FAST. If you know you want your pup fresh and fluffy before Thanksgiving or Christmas, please don’t wait until the week before to message me. 😅

I love y’all, but I cannot manufacture additional days in December. I have tried. 😆

🐾 GROOMER CONFESSIONS 🐾

I absolutely talk to your dog the entire appointment.
And no, I don't mean just “good boy” and “good girl.”
We have full conversations.

I ask them why they're being dramatic. I tell them about my day. I negotiate with them. I question their life choices. Sometimes we argue.

“Ma'am, I KNOW you have bones in your legs. Please stand up.”

“Why are we fighting about this? We do this every 6 weeks.”

"I am not amputating your foot, I promise I'm just cutting your grinch feet."

“Don't look at me like that. Your mother is the one who scheduled this.”

And yes...sometimes I answer for them too. 😂

So if you've ever wondered what happens after you drop your dog off...
Basically your dog gets a bath, a haircut, and an unsolicited therapy session 😁

🚨PSA TO ALL DOODLE OWNERS 🚨

Cooler weather means longer, fluffier coats — and I LOVE a fluffy doodle! 🍂🐾 But fluffy comes with homework.

The key isn’t just brushing. It’s brushing CORRECTLY. Your brush AND comb need to get all the way down to the skin. Surface brushing can still leave plenty of matting underneath.

And for the love of God… please don’t bathe your doodle, towel dry them, and call it a day. 😭 Water + tangles + towel drying is basically an invitation for mats. Brush them out and dry them thoroughly afterward!

I’d MUCH rather help you maintain that fluffy coat than have to shave it off later. 🪮🐾
