We have been over capacity for weeks and it is not slowing down!

More dogs and cats are coming in than leaving.
We are in CRISIS mode and need adopters/fosters NOW!

Dog kennels are FULL and we are having to double up!

If you are missing your dog PLEASE come to the shelter ASAP! We have NO more room!

Chihuahua mixed Rat terrier puppies rescued now looking for homes, must be willing to provide vet care and flea treatment!
They were all covered in fleas!
Must have references!
No kids younger than 10 yrs old!
Must sign contract agreeing to my requirements!
Must get fixed when old enough!
Located in the Houma area, all BOYS!
Rehoming fee which part will go towards neuter at animal shelter!
No holding without non refundable deposit!
Only serious forever homes need apply!!!

Did you know all dogs in terrible? Parrish should have a Parrish license tag that is to be paid yearly I was wondering if anyone had the dogs license by the Animal Shelter that didn’t adopt from them and the dog already come with a license? Also, did you know that there is a tethering law and that dogs are not supposed to be kept on these tethers or lines 24 hours a day unsupervised or after 10 PM at night to 6 AM in the morning they are not supposed to be left outside on a tether, but does the Animal Shelter enforce these laws I don’t think so also, did you know that you can only own our house of the 20 dogs on your property at one time and if you have more than that the Animal Shelter has the right to confiscate whatever dogs they want and euthanize them at their discretion just because of they’re being more than $20 on one piece of property. I think that is sad that needs to be taken off the books and somebody needs to rewrite these ordinances.

Is it really sad when people get to abuse and neglect dogs over and over again and the rescuers are the ones who get persecuted!it’s a sad world we live in today.
And the neglect continues.
