Last Saturday I had to let my Lovely Lola go.. and today.. I had to let my sweet boy Jax Mateo join her

2 animals I have lost exactly one week apart. To say it's been a miserable week is an understatement.

I promise I will get to everyone soon as I can. I can not guarantee I will be ok grooming all this week but I will try.

My heart is shattered

If you are ever considering a bunny. Please rescue one. Bunnies do not belong outside in hutches or outside period. They do not belong indoors in small cages as they have such big personalities and so much energy to burn. They are social creatures that crave love and affection just like a dog or cat. All Jax ever wanted was love. He hopped over to me when I'd say 'my sweet boy' his little attention turned to look for me every time he heard my voice or saw me and he would come right up to me for head scratchies.

I just wanted to give a massive thank you to one of my most loyal clients that I have long ago thought of as more of a friend. Chalayne really went above and beyond to help me yesterday by coming to my house and picking up a boarder I had here and taking him to board at her house so I could tend to Jinger. I called her when I had no one else to turn to and she didn't even hesitate to help and offered to keep my sweet boarder long as needed

Jinger and I made it home super late last night from LSU and she is seemingly on the road to recovery. I am monitoring her closely today. Vet said she was having a severe allergic reaction. She was one stage away from decomposition.

I apologize to all I have not returned calls yet to book. Please know I have a mental list in my head to get back to y'all hopefully tomorrow, and to the ones I had to reschedule today thank you for being so understanding I really have the most amazing Picture Pawfect family. I just love you all so much!

I haven't even had time to process loosing Lola Saturday when I rushed Jinger in less than 24 hours later. Jinger is now sleeping peacefully next to me on my left side while I am falling apart now missing Lola who belongs on my right side laying on my sofa with me

I am back this morning with another of my babies, Jinger, at LSU. She seemed to have an allergy issue that escalated to her yelping and crying in discomfort at 1 am. I got her to settle but she had two more episodes when we got up at 7:20 and I rushed back here 😭

They took her to the back and while I'm waiting there is maybe 12-15 people scattered around the waiting room. The vet walks out and goes to return a doggie to his family. I see the dog out the corner of my eye across the room.. y'all this baby beelined it straight to me and put his head down at my feet for me to pet him 😭
This is why I love my animals and all y'all babies so much that come and see me.. they know.. they always know ❤️💔

Today... my husband, my daughter and I made the difficult decision to lay one of our sweet babies to rest.

My best girl
My shadow
My alarm clock... She would shake her head and make her collar bells jingle and then leap for joy when she saw it did the trick

She recognized when my side the bed creaked even the slightest and would jump up and immediately follow me where ever I was going

My purse was her biggest trigger.. when I grabbed it she would gallop like a pony in joy bc I took her with me 95% the time and most of that time she would get some French fries... She was old. Lola is estimated at 14 and I just got her not even two years ago. So if my baby wanted french fries she got them! I rarely said no to this sweet face bc I knew our time with her was short and I wanted to give her her best life.
We all loved her so much and she loved us

My baby crossed the rainbow bridge today and took her last breath in my arms. She is being cremated and then will be returned back to me where she belongs forever.

Part of my soul died today.

I now have two angel babies.

I have to believe we will see these sweet souls again because if I don't believe then there is no way I could make it through the day

Rest in peace to our 'Lovely' Lola. My husband gave her that name when we first got her.

My house is already so empty without such a big presence 💔💔

Hug yall babies extra close every chance yall get there has been so much loss lately 😢 between Milo a few weeks ago and now Max and one of my bunny groups took a huge loss as well I don't know how much more my heart can take

I have had the pleasure of grooming this sweet boy since before I was even home full time. So about 4.5 years now

Kotah is 9 years old and will be 10 in October. Kotah found his forever home with Maria and John when they rescued Kotah from an abusive environment as a puppy and they took him home to love him like he deserved. Kotah is now a happy, goofy and loving boy 💙

-Kotahs favorite thing to do is hunt and chase lizards in the back yard, look out the window and bark at everyone who passes by, and watch tv
-His least favorite thing is being stuck inside with everyone else outside or watch his humans leave without him.

Kotah has three human brothers: 💙💙💙
Christian, John Jr. and Mason

Kotah is equal parts guard dog, goof ball and heart stealer (I can vouch for the heart stealing ❤️)

His mom and dad say:

❤️'He keeps us entertained daily and loves his family fiercely. We couldn't imagine a life without him. We are so blessed to call him ours'❤️

Kotah is such a good boy to groom! I am so incredibly happy Maria and John choose to stick with me for grooming when I left my previous location. I have also had the pleasure of dog sitting for him when his mommy and daddy went out of town and he is always so well behaved!
