I know Pansies aren’t supposed to be your favorite flower, but maybe thats just because you haven’t met the right Pansies. These absolutely darling varieties from fit right in with the wild and moody vibes in our garden. I’m smitten. Don’t overlook those small family seed companies. ♥️

I hope that all of you floral-notes-loving, tea and sweet connoisseurs are all as excited as I am that you could finally smell the lilacs on your evening walks this week.

Please enjoy a little porthole into the life of these charming little grass dwellers. If you’re curious about quail, I’m always happy to answer questions and nerd out about quail.

When your only jobs are to be a mom, and a gardener… sometimes you plant beans at 10pm, and you are thankful for every second of it.

“Why did we start a farm?”

To make a long story short, I had to learn the long and hard way that my mind and my body want to move and change and grow as the seasons do. I also learned that how I fed my body also healed my mind. Pair this with the self expression that is critical to emotional health, and the garden came into focus. I didn’t want to keep fighting to try to be healthy in mind and body on a divide-and-conquer blueprint. We went back to a way of life that our elders already knew. There’s a reason that the biggest rooms in our homes used to be the dining room, where we fed our children, our neighbors, and nourished the bonds between people that make us resilient. I want to be part of that. I want stronger communities, fewer hungry children, fewer lonely elders, more casseroles and a village to raise our babies. We are starting small, with every intention of honing our skills and growing into our boots. I can’t thank our friends and family enough for their unwavering faith in us.
