We are so excited to introduce Dr Valerie Tilley to Lake Hamilton and Hot Springs Animal Hospitals ! Dr Tilley is a 2026 graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr Tilley grew up in Cedar Rapids Iowa. She has officially become a southerner as of two weeks ago! Please help us give her a great big southern welcome to our practices.

🐾✈️ Pet Travel Tips From Your Furry Co-Pilots 🐱🚗

🐶 Dog says:
“Please don’t wait until the night before the trip to see if I fit in my harness anymore. I’ve been stress eating treats.”

🐱 Cat says:
“If you’re taking me somewhere, I demand a carrier with soft blankets and absolutely ZERO loud country music.”

🐶 Dog says:
“Pack my snacks, water bowl, leash, and favorite toy. Emotional support squeaky dinosaur = essential travel item.”

🐱 Cat says:
“Bring my litter box. I am not ‘holding it’ for 6 hours just because you forgot.”

🐶 Dog says:
“Roll the windows down a little… not enough for me to attempt a dramatic movie-style escape.”

🐱 Cat says:
“Please make sure my microchip and tags are updated. If I vanish at a rest stop, I will absolutely join another family.”

🐶 Dog says:
“Take breaks so I can stretch my legs and sniff every blade of grass in Tennessee.”

“And NEVER leave us in a hot car. We overheat much faster than humans!”

🚨 Holiday Closure Reminder 🚨
Our office will be CLOSED on Monday, May 25 so our team can spend Memorial Day with their families. 🇺🇸
🐾 Please make sure to pick up any needed food or medication refills for your pets by Saturday.
🎆 Fireworks season is also approaching! If your pet struggles with anxiety during fireworks, please call us ahead of time to request medication. Some pets may require an exam if they have not been seen recently.

Who doesn't love 2 puppies in a stroller?! These two stopped in for there next round of puppy vaccines.

Did you know that puppies require a series for 4 to 5 vaccines to be protected against viruses like distemper and parvo. Both viruses are common in our area.

Leg day looks a little different for our patients!

Prada is a couple weeks post-op from a surgery she needed to correct a torn ligament in her knee. You've heard of an ACL tear in human knees? Dogs can have the same sort of injury 💡💭

Cold laser therapy is part of Prada's treatment plan as she heals. And she's a big fan! Even the goggles don't bother this sweet girl 🥰
