Update on Mango! He got to come home late yesterday afternoon and he is soooo happy to be home! We are trying to take it easy, but with two girls in heat…well there’s a lot of barking and whining going on 🤦‍♀️🤣❤️❤️ sorry Mango, no more hanky panky for a while so we don’t bust any stitches!!
Mango and I want to say thanks to everyone for your prayers and support!

Update on Mango. He is moving around better today but still dealing with some loose stools. Vet wants to keep him at least another day to monitor his temperature for infection. ❤️

At least we can all smile at the end of a hard day, right Ruby??? 😁

Well we had a close call today…Mango had to have emergency surgery this morning! 😢
I noticed he didn’t seem like he felt good for the past couple of days. Vet trip revealed he had an obstruction. In my 25 years of raising goldens, this is the first time I have had a dog eat a toy!
(I know I’ve been very lucky) He found a puppy sized rope toy in the back yard (I’m assuming from the last litter) and apparently decided it was a delicious snack…🤦‍♀️
So please keep my sweetest boy in your thoughts and pray for a complete and speedy recovery! He is stable now but will have to stay for a couple of nights for IV antibiotics and fluids.

After a lot of deliberation, I’ve decided to rehome Ruby. She could go to a reputable breeder home or she will be spayed and rehomed as a pet.
Ruby is an absolute sweetie but she needs a more active family or a home with lots of room to run. She would be an amazing hunt prospect for upland bird hunting…even small game like squirrel hunting. She has tons of retrieving drive that I cannot provide for her at this time.
