There are so many stories and experiences I’ve heard about Wild Horse Hot Springs—good and bad, healing and not.

But over the last two months, WE have had the opportunity and the pleasure of offering a different experience here on the ranch.

Today, I received a beautiful handwritten letter and the largest tip I have ever received from one person. And truthfully, it touched me far beyond the money.

It was validation.

A reminder that despite the stories, despite the past, and even despite the uncertainty of the future… God sees.

There are days when I wonder if I’m doing enough. Days when I feel like I’m failing. So to have someone take the time to tell me that they saw my effort, my care, and my heart was incredibly humbling.

Thank you to every person who has made me feel like family here. Thank you to those who make me feel seen. And thank you for somehow looking past my eccentric, dramatic personality 😂 and still being able to see my heart through my actions.

Wild Horse has a story that existed long before me, and it will have a story long after me. I’m simply grateful that, for this season, I get to be part of writing a little piece of it.

Be blessed today. ❤️

And, of course…

COME SOAK. ♨️

Natty here with a Wild Horse Shoutout ❤️

Miss Dawnette was the very first Hot Springs' resident I had the pleasure of sharing a plunge with. She opened her heart and shared her famous MEATBALLS, yellow curry soup, ribs and a home made birthday cake.

She has been coming to WH since 2023 for waters of Mother Dragon's artesian well. She not only believes, but can attest to the relaxation and healing these waters provide.

Thank you Miss Dawnette for being one of the best chefs in Hot Springs, a loyal patron of WH and an authentic soul I have the pleasure of getting to know!

🐎♨️ 32 YEARS OF WILD HORSE HOT SPRINGS ♨️🐎

Today is a special one.

32 years ago today, Denny purchased what was then known as Camp Aqua and began the chapter that would become Wild Horse Hot Springs.

But the story of this land and these waters reaches much further back than 32 years.

Wild Horse sits within the exterior boundaries of the Flathead Indian Reservation, home of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes (CSKT). As we celebrate our own milestone, we also want to respectfully acknowledge that the history of this land did not begin with Camp Aqua or Wild Horse, and that Native people have deep and enduring ties to this land and region.

Then came another remarkable chapter.

In 1912, homesteader Molly Bartlett was drilling in search of water when she unexpectedly struck a powerful source of hot artesian water. That discovery became known as the Mother Dragon Geyser — the geothermal source at the heart of Wild Horse today.

Decades later, the property became Camp Aqua, including a warm-water project associated with care for children affected by polio.

And in 1994, Denny D took the reins.

For 32 years, he has carried this unusual piece of Montana history through good years, difficult years, changes, rebuilding and growth — while the water has simply kept flowing.

Today, Wild Horse is growing again. New soaking spaces, improvements to the property and new ideas are taking shape, but we don't want growth to make us forget what makes this place special.

The water. The land. The history. The people. And the generations who came before us.

To our locals who have been soaking here for decades, our Native neighbors, our visitors from around the world, our past and present employees, and everyone who has supported Wild Horse along the way:

Thank you for being part of these 32 years.

Here's to honoring the past while building the next chapter.

Happy 32 years, Denny & Wild Horse Hot Springs. 🐎♨️

Natty ❤️
