This unique destination offers an up-close experience with alligators, a hands-on petting zoo, and a variety of other animals. A visit to the Arkansas Alligator Farm and Petting Zoo consists of time spent in our petting zoo, viewing our mini-zoo, seeing lots of alligators, and more! Daisy and her precious baby, Rosie, are ready to meet YOU! These two love making new friends and are guaranteed to make you smile during your visit to the Arkansas Alligator Farm and Petting Zoo.

🦎 Meet One of Arkansas’ Coolest Little Reptiles: The Five-Lined Skink! 💙

Have you spotted this speedy little lizard around the Arkansas Alligator Farm & Petting Zoo? Meet the Five-Lined Skink—a harmless native reptile that’s full of amazing surprises! They have made our place their home for the past decade.

✨ Fun Facts:
💙 Young skinks have bright blue tails that can actually detach if a predator grabs them! The wiggling tail distracts predators like hawks, snakes, and raccoons, giving the skink time to escape. Even more amazing? The tail grows back!

🕷️ Nature’s Pest Patrol: Five-lined skinks help keep our ecosystem healthy by munching on spiders, beetles, crickets, termites, caterpillars, and other small insects.

🥚 Super Mom Alert: Unlike most reptiles, female five-lined skinks stay with their eggs, guarding them for the entire 4–6 week incubation period until they’re ready to hatch.

Next time you visit, keep your eyes open and your hands to yourself 🙏🏼- you might catch one of these fast little friends soaking up the sun! They’re just one more reason Arkansas is home to such incredible wildlife.
