Please be advised, on Saturday 5/2 we will be closing at noon. One of our employees is getting married and we want to be there to support and celebrate her. Have no worries- All patients and boarding animals will receive full care. We will have a small team available for emergencies as normal. We simply will not be open for appointments, med refills or other purchases so please plan accordingly! If you absolutely need to drop off or pick up for boarding in the afternoon please contact us to make arrangements. Thank you for understanding ☺️

🎉🎉THE UPDATE EVERYONE HAS BEEN WAITING FOR🎉🎉

After several days and a 3 hour chase today, Daisy has been caught. She is currently under our care to treat minor wounds, but will be fine in no time!

THANK YOU to all who helped spread the word or physically helped in her search! We couldn’t have done it without all of you!

🌼DAISY UPDATE-STILL MISSING🌼

We have confirmed that she remains in the vicinity of the vet clinic. There were confirmed sightings yesterday. PLEASE READ- she is extremely scared. Large groups looking for her will only drive her away. We appreciate everyone’s assistance in looking for her, but less is more at this time. If you see her DO NOT WHISTLE OR CALL HER. Please stay still, try to keep eyes on her and contact us so we can get the owner to her location. Any attempts of others interacting with her (even at a distance) have resulted in her bolting. Thanks for the continued concern and support! We are all very hopeful we can get her home! 605-745-3786

The search is still on to find Daisy! She was last seen appoximately 3/4 of a mile NW of the vet clinic.

She has not been sighted in quite sometime now and we are VERY concerned that she could be trapped somewhere because of her leash. 😞

THANK YOU to everyone that has helped search and shared these posts to get the word out! On another note, please be kind- the owner’s child dropped the leash while outside and this is a difficult time without any additional negative input. Again, thank you to everyone that has been so supportive of helping those involved! You are so appreciated 🩵🩵

We want to take a moment to introduce our newest veterinarian- she has been with us for a couple months now and we are thrilled to have her!

Dr. Mikayla "Mik" Lacher was born and raised on a bison ranch near Christine, ND. Dr. Mik graduated from the University of Minnesota Crookston with a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science. She then attended Kansas State University, where she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2025.
Although Dr. Mik enjoys all things vet med related, she especially enjoys client education and large animal medicine.

Dr. Mik enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, photography, traveling, and spending time outdoors.

Dr. Mik is excited to be part of our community! Be sure to greet her when you see her around town!

PS- don’t try this at home- please don’t pet the “fluffy cows” 😉

UPDATE!! Phones seem to be back in working order 🤗

Good morning everyone! We are having issues with the phones again 😩 It appears that all phone calls are going straight to voicemail. ***If you are trying to reach us please leave a message and we will call you back as soon as possible!***

We also discovered that some emergency calls were not being forwarded and voicemails never came through. If you were affected by this, we are sincerely sorry 😞 We are working with Golden West to get this straightened out as quickly as possible!

The clinic cats have decided there is nothing better to do than lounge on this frigid day! We’ve had lots of questions about our clinic kitties lately so here are the basics:

Cora (on the top level): came to us as a young adult with a broken femur

Yeti (in the middle): came to us as an approx 5 week old kitten who was completely paralyzed for several days, but you’d never know it now

Mink (hidden in the house): came to us with major tail and foot trauma

We fell in love with these kitties and here they remain to greet our FRVC family 🐱
