This is:
"Lark Me Two Times"
Stable name: Echo
11 mos. stud c**t
Sire: Lark N Lena
Dam: Larks Painted Robin
He is right in my pocket,
loves to play, so learning has come easy. He leads well, desensitized to walking on tarps, traffic driving by, steps over objects, walks thru shallow water. He is sure footed up & down our steep hill, climbs short steps. Stands for grooming. I will know more about his feet when he meets the farrier next week.
I've started him walking the barrel pattern. I plan to start low jumps soon. I wish I had a calf to introduce him to, but for now? He tries to "work" our 3 dogs. LoL
Echo lets my 3 yr old grandson take approx. 1-2 minute rides, w/ blanket.(while I hold him & walk along side at ALL times).
So far his only bad habits are loving mud (AFTER he is clean) & nipping, that is a habit I wont tolerate it is being addressed.
BEFORE we started ground training. Echo was appraised at $1200.00. Now w/ all things considered, I apologize, but his sale has been delayed. Reasons?
1: Im very picky about interested buyers.
2: Because of the ease & the speed that he is learning, keeping him is too tempting.
3: Our family has fallen in love...❤️
So for the time being, Im torn about letting him go.
BUT Heads Up Trainers:
I AM considering leasing him to a serious trainer, so he can follow in his Dad & Grandfather's hoof-prints.
I want to see this young man follow his destiny to be an all-around World Champion. Or at minimum, NCHA like Dad. Im convinced he can go far under the right person.
I'll keep ya'll updated on my decision.
In the meantime, I'll try to post as much as I can (video & pics) to share his progress.
(Just promise me you wont judge me for his love of mud...LoL, its not my fault. And any suggestions to make him STOP loving his mud? Are appreciated)
