SD Princess Rapunzel
or as we call her Punzie
Punzie is just an absolutely beautiful, eye catching mare! She is big standing at 15.2. She is thick, big b***d, sweet, with the well known SD temperament. She has a nice thick, round hip, short back for how big she is, beautiful neck that slopes into a thick shoulder. She stands as wide as she is tall. she is a tank of a mare. She has also proven herself as a mom, I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful, sweet, built to the hilt filly from her. She gave me exactly what I was looking for in a filly this year. She has hair, hair, hair. She can grow hair faster than I can (which is saying something).
Punzie is my heart and soul! She has carried me through treacherous terrain on some of the trail rides we have been on. Having to trust her while letting the reins go and hanging on for dear life, (it has been a very long time since I have had to grab the saddle horn) and her trusting me to guide her and help her navigate. Punzie is extremely sure footed. I have yet to find her taking a misstep while on the trails. We had to turn around at one point on a steeper slope on straight flat rock. I turned her very slowly and she never slipped, took her time and got turned nice and easy with shoes on. She has taken to trail riding and loves to go and see everything! Our bond is unbreakable, I trust her as she trusts me!
Punzie is my everything and after her foal is weaned, back in shape we both go for trails through winter, next year and years to come. She is an amazing girl.
Punzie will be with us forever! We adore her! We are so blessed to have such an amazing mare in our herd all thanks to Janey Down!
