So what now? We’ve tried again and gotten the same result. Nothing. No home for Icee. This is the third time we’ve put him through the program because we couldn’t bear the thought of him going back to the shelter. We never want a dog to go back because they don’t do well without the attention and interaction they get here. Who would? And he would go to the Humane Society of Independence County, which is struggling to recover from a tornado. The plate is full in Batesville.

We can’t figure out why Icee hasn’t been adopted. He’s a handsome, sweet and honest boy. Look, if we didn’t think he was outstanding, we wouldn’t keep trying. But Icee is worth the effort. He’s wonderful. A one-year old yellow lab mix, he weighs 68 pounds. Icee is a golden dog with a golden personality. He does not need to go back to a shelter that’s rebuilding. Icee needs a home that’s as good as he is, which is worth every ounce of the effort. And then some.

Tommy❤️ This sweet boy has been repeatedly looked over. He has a heart on his nose and love in his heart.
