Sharing this from my personal page- I did make a mistake and pup is more in the Sturgis area, know her wonderful owner will see this 😊
Let's talk scammers. They are very active and it's making hard for everyone trying to sell and buy. They are getting better at what they do and it's making it harder to spot. I sent pics to someone who wanted to see what our pups will look like when grown so I sent them this collage that one of our amazing familes sent us. Yes they already were scammed once by someone that stole our pictures but thankfully they trusted us and now are enjoying a new family member.
A few helpful tips-
Never send money without verifying there's an actual animal/product - if you're emailing/texting also talk to them over the phone. We will never take a deposit for a pup (or horse) unless we talk to someone to verify they are a good fit (and not a scammer) FaceTime/Skpe is good resource but we have hit and miss reception so sometimes will have a phone call and send video after. While it's a good policy to go to where item/animal is, that's not always possible and I don't know anyone that would ship an item before paid for in full so there has to be mutual trust in place so build a good businesses relationship. If it feels like you're getting pressured to send funds don't do it without more research and have someone help you.
If you're skeptical ALWAYS reach out to someone that has knowledge in what you're buying or even a friend to get their opinion- we love helping folks out and could care less if you are buying from a different breeder. Same for horses. Don't be embarrassed!
If your facebook friend is selling something on FB don't assume it's really them, so many get hacked on a daily basis.
Things like grammer errors, broken english and calling an animal an "it" are things to take into consideration as well.
And lastly if it seems like a too good of a deal to be true it's probably is a scam. That drop dead gorgeous reining horse isn't selling for $5k (we can dream) and below pup won't be selling for $500- so be smart and realistic. Know the market on what you're buying.
