We ended our day with what might actually be a real-life stuffed animal. 🧸🐶
This little ball of floof came in for a visit and completely stole our hearts (and maybe a few treats too).

Is it possible to have cuteness overload? Asking for a friend. 💕

Lake Road Animal Hospital is dedicated to helping pet parents find ways to access and afford veterinary care. We know it is difficult to manage all the expenses we face day-to-day. Veterinary care is expensive and out-of-reach for too many.

We have partnered with VetBilling.com to allow our clients to pay for veterinary care over several months, rather than all at once. This applies to preventative care as well as medical care for illness or injuries. While we require a 50% deposit, the remainder of your invoice can be paid over 3 to 12 months with NO INTEREST. These payment plans are for everyone, even if you are not proud of your credit score.

If you're concerned about your veterinary expenses, please call us at (607) 733-6503 to schedule a visit and experience veterinary care differently. Our team cares about pet owners as much as pets.

If you have utilized a VetBilling payment plan, please share your story in the comments! We have helped a hundreds of families keep their pets healthy with these payment plans over the past several years, and we are so grateful to have had the opportunity to help.

It’s getting hot out there — and your pets are feeling it in full fur!

Here’s how to keep your pets cool, comfy, and far from danger:

1. Hydration = Happy Pets.
Always provide plenty of fresh, clean water. Dehydration can sneak up fast, especially in hot weather or after exercise. Pets can’t ask for a refill — so check their bowl often!

2. No parked-car pit stops.
Even on a mild day, your car can become dangerously hot within minutes. Heatstroke is a serious risk. If pets can’t come inside with you, let them chill at home.

3. Know the warning signs.
Excessive panting, drooling, restlessness, vomiting, or collapse? These can be signs of heatstroke. Move your pet to a cool area and call us or urgent care right away — time matters.

4. Mind those paws!
Hot pavement can burn sensitive pads. Use the 7-second test: if you can’t hold your hand on the ground, it’s too hot for a walk. Aim for early mornings or late evenings

5. Keep things breezy.
Fans, shaded areas, and access to cool spots indoors make a big difference. If your pet loves a kiddie pool or chilling near a fan, let them live their best summer life!

Let’s make this a safe, sunny season — full of naps in the shade and zero emergency visits.

The weekend’s almost here and the weather’s looking great — we’d LOVE to see your pets soaking up the sunshine!☀️ ☀️
Drop a photo in the comments of your pets enjoying the summer safely.
