🐴 Carrot’s Journey: A Second Chance in the Making 🧡
Meet Carrot, our 5-year-old Saddlebred mare who came to Off Course Rescue to avoid the auction pipeline. When she arrived, Carrot was small, scared, and reactive. While we don’t have much history on her, it’s clear she experienced abuse at some point in her past.
After time to settle in, receive medical care, and decompress, we made an important decision for her future. Carrot has now headed to Stallion’s Performance Horses for natural horsemanship training. This step is all about rebuilding trust—helping her learn that there are safe humans who will listen, respect her boundaries, and partner with her kindly under saddle.
Following her evaluation and training, Carrot will begin her search for her forever home—one where she can thrive, feel secure, and enjoy the happy life she deserves.
