I have to share great news! A few months ago, I boarded a dog named Rodeo. A big 80 lb pity mix that was on the euthanasia list in Oakland.
An amazing woman caught his eye and took him to Sarah over in Lake County, who has been working with him for months. I then boarded him for a few days and found out that besides being a gentle giant and confused about what life was all about, was a good boy.
I'm happy to say that they just let me know, he was ADOPTED by a couple from Hayward who knew his past and took him anyway so now he has a home.
Congratulations Rodeo. You can do this and you now have humans.

Just a hint if any of you buy these toys for your dogs. West Paws from chewy and they have a space to stuff. I have been mixing up pureed sweet potato, bone broth, peanut butter blueberries, making it into a puree, filling the ice trays letting it freeze overnight and putting it inside these toys. They work really well they do melt so make sure your dog's on the bed or wherever you don't care they get messy. But they love them

Look what popped up on memories this was a year ago. And they have had amazing Adventures. That dog lucked out and I think the human did too. They travel all over and they have a perfect life together lucky you Oscar

Oscar went on a foster field trip to Red Barn Dog Boarding and Daycare over the holidays and never came back!

When an interested adopter came by for Oscar, Kathie was able to set up the meet onsite at her facility in Holpand, which made it easy to meet him and fall in love! Bonus is Oscar has a place to go where he is comfortable when his dad goes out of town!

It was a nice visit from Becca yesterday to do vaccines and check in with the pups.. they're growing so fast and the DNA went in on Monday so we will at least know one daddy we know what Mama looks like
